• Convert your files to CMYK. RGB FILES ARE NOT ACCEPTED
• DON'T USE SPECIAL CHARACTERS ON YOUR FILE NAMES (i.e. #, %, @, !, &, ^, $, *, etc.).
Digital Formats:
The Orange County Register prefers Macintosh-based electronic files. PC files cannot be accepted unless they are saved as EPS, TIFF, or PDF format. The following native applications are supported:

MacroMedia FreeHand
QuarkXPress
File Formats
- EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)
- TIFF (Tagged Image File Format)
- PDF (Portable Document Format)
- NATIVE APPLICATION Native files are in the format of the application that created them. These files are easily edited using the same application.
Resolution
The scan and file resolution is 170DPI. Size scanned photographs before placing them in a document. Do not reduce or enlarge TIFF images after importing them into a page layout application.
